Creativity is Nikia’s passion! Nikia was born in Chicago, Illinois raised in Kalamazoo Michigan. She is a Visual Artist now residing in Frisco, Texas. Nikia has expressed herself through art for most of her life while capturing her emotions and life experiences on canvas. Her use of shapes are symbolic of the complexities of human interaction. Nikia enjoys painting with oil and acrylic on canvas while pushing the limits with paint and various materials using layers, textures, and seamless blending of colors.
Nikia has dedicated years of her life to becoming a Stay at Home Mom to two amazing children until she returned to work in 2010. In 2018, Nikia decided to leave her career in Criminal Justice as a Probation-Parole Officer for the North Carolina Department of Public Safety then as an Investigator working Crimes against Children with the State of Texas to pursue her passion of art full-time.
Nikia is a self taught artist who specializes in African-American and Abstract Art. During the 2020 Pandemic, Nikia launched N.E. Coleman Collections, a business creating Abstract Art for both residential and commercial spaces. She tells her client’s story authentically through Abstract Art. In 2020, her artwork was debuted in the Carroll Harris Simms National Art Competition and Exhibition in Dallas, Texas. She also exhibited in the Toyota Black History Art Exhibition and the 2nd Annual Fritz White: Black Artist’s Competition and Exhibition at Oasis Accents in Frisco, Texas in 2021. Her clientele consists primarily of Homeowners, Real Estate Agents, Art Galleries, Interior Designers, and Art Collectors.
Nikia’s artwork has been showcased throughout Dallas/Ft. Worth: Oasis Accents-Frisco, Texas; The Gallery 8680-Frisco, Texas; Savory Kitchen Restaurant-Little Elm, Texas; and The Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County.

What pulls at Nikia’s Heartstrings the most? Children. Nikia has spent countless hours and resources to support Abuse/Neglected Children, Children with Autism, and fighting Human Sex Trafficking.
